
Meet Kirstan

Kirstan Fuller is a dynamic health and wellness professional with over ten years of experience. In 2015 Kirstan decided it was time to utilize her skills and start her own company, and Building a Bridge to Hope was born. Her goal was to create a company that offered holistic experiences to individuals, couples, corporations, and non-profits that focus on well-being and are based on scientific research. Kirstan Fuller is a New Jersey native but has lived in the DMV area since receiving her training at the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2011. While completing her B.A. in Family Science, Kirstan also pursued a minor in Dance and Performance Studies. Kirstan is passionate about promoting mental, physical, and emotional health. Kirstan has taught corporate companies group exercise classes, including Zumba and Cardio Dance. She has also taught mindfulness and stress techniques classes to students at Johns Hopkins University. Kirstan has developed and conducted health and wellness seminars and training courses for faculty, students, and corporate employees throughout DC on weight management, physical activity, nutrition, stress management, and smoking cessation.
Kirstan's practice is person-centered, strength-based, family-focused, and trauma-informed in her work with clients and the community. Kirstan uses various techniques, including Motivational Interviewing, Stages of Change, Biometric Screenings, and Health Assessments, to help her clients reach their goals.

I am a certified Zumba instructor and Dance Instructor. I wanted to teach Zumba because I wanted to promote being healthy mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I’ve been a dancer for over 20 years and fitness provided me with the same love and passion as dancer. I love to infuse dance and fitness while creating a fun and sweaty jam session.

I have taught mindfulness and stress techniques classes to students, faculty, and events. I really enjoyed teaching mindfulness at Johns Hopkins University with the sports teams. I enjoy restorative yoga because it allows Yoga experts a chance to rest and slow it down while being intentional with their breath and body flow. Then restore the body to its restful state.

I enjoy working using Reiki with my clients. It really helps to improve all aspects of someone’s life. It can give your body, mind, and spirit the balance and energy it needs to live in your truth and be successful. It improves your personal relationships and your relationship with yourself.
